Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 21, 2026
1. Who We Are
Armani Web Design ("we", "our", or "us") is a Seattle-based web design studio. This policy explains how information is handled when you visit armaniwebdesign.com, use the Website Opportunity Scan, interact with a scan report or Armani Bot AI website consultant, or submit a project inquiry.
2. Information You Choose to Provide
When you save a scan or submit a project inquiry, we may collect information you enter, including:
- Name and business name
- Email address and optional phone number
- Service interest, project goals, budget range, and timeline
- Additional project details you choose to provide
- The website address submitted to the scanner and the goal you select for that website
Do not submit passwords, payment-card information, medical information, government identification numbers, or other highly sensitive information through these forms.
3. Limited First-Party Website Analytics
We use limited first-party session analytics to understand how the website and scanner are used and where inquiries originate. This can include an anonymous session identifier stored in your browser session storage, page paths, referral source, UTM campaign parameters, device category, browser user-agent information, and conversion events such as starting or completing a scan.
If a deployment-specific analytics salt is configured, the server may store a one-way salted hash of the requesting IP address for abuse prevention and coarse session integrity. We do not intentionally store the raw IP address in our acquisition table. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site behavioral advertising through this system.
4. Website Opportunity Scan
When you submit a website for analysis, the scanner requests a limited number of publicly accessible pages from that website and stores technical evidence needed to create the report. This may include the submitted URL, page URLs, HTTP status, titles, meta descriptions, headings, links, forms, CTA text, structured-data signals, and other crawlable HTML-derived information.
Current reports are designed to expire after approximately 30 days unless retained longer for a legitimate project or operational purpose. The report URL functions as a private sharing link: it is marked not to be indexed, but anyone who obtains the URL may be able to view the report.
5. Armani Bot
When the AI-assisted consultation feature is enabled, a constrained version of the scan report may be sent to OpenAI immediately after a scan so the site can generate a report-grounded opening interpretation. Questions you choose to ask in the consultation may also be sent with limited recent conversation context. We intentionally keep contact-form fields such as your email and phone number out of the model context used for AI answers. If the AI provider is unavailable or not configured, the site may use a deterministic report-grounded response instead.
6. How We Use Information
- To generate and improve website scan reports.
- To connect a scan, selected goal, and project inquiry so follow-up can start with relevant context.
- To respond to inquiries, evaluate project fit, prepare estimates, and communicate about potential or active work.
- To measure which pages and conversion paths are useful and diagnose technical or abuse issues.
- To maintain reasonable business, security, and client communication records.
We do not sell or rent personal information to advertisers.
7. Service Providers
We use service providers to operate parts of the website. These may include:
- Supabase for backend database services used by scanner reports, acquisition sessions, inquiries, and report conversations.
- FormSubmit as a best-effort secondary email-notification channel for inquiries. Supabase remains the authoritative storage path for the current inquiry system.
- OpenAI, when the Armani Bot AI website consultant is configured, to process a constrained scan context and consultation messages and return report-grounded explanations.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers used to serve the website and run its server-side application.
These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy practices and only receive the information needed for the relevant function.
8. Retention
We retain inquiry and project records for a reasonable period related to follow-up, business operations, active or past client relationships, security, and legal obligations. Scan reports are generally configured with a shorter expiration period. Conversation records may be retained for a limited period to preserve report continuity. You may contact us to request deletion of information associated with you; requests may be subject to legitimate legal, security, contractual, or recordkeeping needs.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including HTTPS and server-side handling of elevated database credentials. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Private scan-report links should not be shared publicly if you do not want others to access the report.
10. Third-Party Links
The website may link to client websites and other third-party resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites.
11. Children's Privacy
Our website and services are intended for businesses and professionals and are not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the site, contact us so we can review the matter.
12. Policy Updates
We may update this policy as the website, scanner, service providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
